Make clinical and radiographic examinations of the oral and soft tissues and a diagnosis of pathological or irregular conditions. Administer local anesthesia, and/or nitrous oxide analgesia. Perform routine and moderately complicated tooth extractions, including surgical procedures. Perform examinations, makes diagnoses and prescribes treatment plans for patients. Recognize and refer patients for specialty treatment as required. Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and malformation of teeth and gums. Plan and carry-out dental health program for oral disease prevention and patient education. To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Education: Applicants must have a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from a school approved by the American Dental Association (ADA) or the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Licensure: Applicants must have passed the National Board Dental Examinations (NBDE) which are developed and administered by the Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations (JCNDE) and possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.Applicants who meet the above basic requirements qualify for the GS-11 grade level. Medical Requirement: Applicants must be able to distinguish shades of color In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-0680-11: Applicants who meet the basic requirements as listed above are qualified are the GS-11 grade level. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, GS-0680-12: Additional Requirements for the GS-12 (or equivalent) Grade Level: In addition to the above Basic Requirements for the GS-11 (or equivalent) level, applicants must complete a 2-year residency program in dentistry, oral health, craniofacial sciences, or a related medical science; or equivalent experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, and/or training, as listed below. Your resume must demonstrate at least two (2) years of professional dentistry experience and/or training. This experience is equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement. Examples include: The evaluation, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, injuries, and disorders of the oral cavity and maxillofacial area. Examples of dentistry experience may include the removal of decay; filling cavities; straightening, extracting and repairing teeth; treating gum diseases; performing corrective surgery; making measurements/models for denture to replace missing teeth, administering anesthetics. OR Completion of a 2-year residency program in dentistry, oral health, craniofacial sciences, or a related medical science. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
