Director of Clinical Informatics

Responsible for the organizing, planning, directing, evaluating and implementing comprehensive clinical informatics services for a complex medical facility. Solves complex problems utilizing professional judgment that requires innovative approaches and the development of new guidelines and programs. Provide clinical expertise and leadership to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) program. Coordinates implementation of new software products obtained by the facility that cover these functions. Analyzes and evaluates processes related to information flow. Promotes an awareness of the importance of data validity and data security. Coordinates efforts to correct deficiencies and errors that occur in the electronic record. Responsible for the implementation, training and support of multi-service software packages that automate the capture of clinical encounter information and its subsequent retrieval. To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Completion of a Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree with a major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Must submit transcripts. In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-0601-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
Examples include:
Experience in the use of clinical software packages and management of the Electronic Health Records; experience in analyzing health data to develop standards, concepts, and policy; maintain operating system related to Health information analytics systems; guide and ensure the success of multidisciplinary teams and to lead and manage Informatics-related projects. Preferred Candidates:
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in RPMS clinical software application with at least 5 years of experience in clinical applications. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in analyzing clinical data to address patient population health outcomes. Demonstrated knowledge in providing patient care relating training. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
