Evaluates, develops, and implements improvements to the clinical information systems, and proactively forecasts and researches new technologies. Develops and implements new systems, applications, information processes, and other improvements that assist medical staff to improve safety and quality of care, and meet regulatory compliance (including Meaningful Use, clinical reminders, iCare, dashboard, etc.) Acts as a liaison between medical staff and the Information Management department, advocating for improvements to the information systems that will enhance medical staff workflow. Promotes the use of information technology in the clinical setting, and educates medical staff and others on adoption of changing processes or new systems. Develops and leads training efforts for medical staff on use of new information systems. Analyzes and evaluates processes related to information flow. Acquires a comprehensive knowledge of the software involved to determine what procedural issues versus system/application deficiencies are. Interviews and examines patients, reviews past medical history, and requests and/or performs diagnostic tests and examinations deemed necessary to obtain all possible information related to each case. Makes preliminary diagnosis, directs, prescribes, or provides treatment, manages for specialized care or patient referral as required. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet one of the following degree requirements for a physician position. Degree:
Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. OR Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school that provided education and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States as demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country. BASIC REQUIREMENT - LICENSURE:
This physician position provides direct patient care; as such, all eligible candidates must meet the licensure requirement. Possession of a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. BASIC REQUIREMENT - GRADUATE TRAINING:
Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy Medicine degree, all candidates must have had at least (1) year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting. Graduate training programs include only those internship, residency, and fellowship programs that are approved by accrediting bodies recognized within the United States or Canada. Descriptions of such programs are described below. Internship:
Completion of a 1-year internship program which involved a broadly based clinical practice in which physicians acquire experience in treating a variety of medical problems under supervision (e.g., internal medicine, surgery, general practice, obstetrics-gynecology, and pediatrics). Such programs are in hospitals or other institutions accredited for internship training by a recognized body of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Residency:
Completion of the first year of a residency program which involved training in a specialized field of medicine in a hospital or an institution accredited for training in the specialty by a recognized body of the American Medical Association (AMA) or Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Fellowship:
Completion of a fellowship program which involved advanced training (beyond residency training) in a given medical specialty in either a clinical or research setting in a hospital or an institution accredited in the United States for such training. D. I do not have the graduate training as described above. In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-0602-15:
In order to qualify for the GS-15 position you must meet the following criteria which demonstrates your ability to perform the work of this position at the GS-15 grade level. Completion of (5) years of approved residency or other accredited training related to the one of the following specialties:
Pediatrics, Family Practice/Primary Care Medicine, or Internal Medicine OR Possess a combination of approved residency or other accredited training and progressive experience equivalent in breadth and intensity for this position. BOARD CERTIFICATION:
In addition to the minimum requirements, the following certification is determined to be essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of a particular position. Applicants who do not meet the Board Certification factor are ineligible for further consideration. Board Eligible or Board Certified by an American specialty board in Pediatrics, Family Practice/Primary Care Medicine, or Internal Medicine. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
