Inventory Management Specialist

Make deliveries of supplies and equipment to include emergency transportation of assets. Receive, review and process documentation for disposal of assets that have been damaged, obsolete, out dating, etc., to include pulling and/or wiping all media before disposal. Analyze past requirements and determine appropriate stock levels, taking into consideration projected support needs and budget restrictions. Altering inventory and stock levels as supply and equipment demand increases or need diminishes. Develops and supports the creation of acquisition strategies and standardization initiatives to acquire and purchase supplies, displaying familiarity with contracting laws and regulations with industry practices. To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. For positions requiring positive education requirements, or if you are using education to meet all or part of the qualification requirements, you MUST submit a copy of your transcripts or an itemized list of college courses which includes equivalent information from the transcript (course title, semester/quarter hours, and grade/degree earned) in your resume. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-2210-05:
Have at least (3) years of progressively responsible general experience, (1) year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4 grade level, in the Federal service, that demonstrated the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, recognize solutions, plan and organize work, and communicate effectively orally and in writing. OR Successful completion of a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, in any field. OR Posses a combination of education and experience that when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position. The total percentage equals at least 100 percent to qualify for this GS-05 grade level. (You must provide copies of your transcripts) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-2210-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of general experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
Examples include:
With supervision, performs and determines the distribution and control of material in stock and positioning of supplies among the hospital supply area; work with procurement process and requirement of property and supplies. Working knowledge of one or more automated personal property/supply data base to enter, correct and retrieve recurring. OR Completed a Bachelor's degree in a field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position with one of the following:
(1) I graduated with at least an overall GPA of 2.95, (2) I graduated with at least a 3.45 GPA in my major or during the last two years of college; (3) I graduated in the top third of my class; or (4) I have been a member of a national scholastic honor society recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies OR Successful completion of (1) full year of graduate level education. OR Possess a combination of education and experience that when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position. The total percentage equals at least 100 percent to qualify for this GS-07 grade level. Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
